Outstanding GCSE results for 2021

Our Abbey College Manchester GCSE students have achieved an impressive set of results in 2021.
From a total of 80 GCSEs sat, 14% were awarded the top grade of 9, and nearly half achieved 9-7 grades. The pass rate was 100%.

This year GCSE grades throughout the UK have been determined by teacher assessment, as the covid-19 pandemic caused schools to be closed for parts of the year and a lot of disruption to teaching and learning.
Speaking about the students’ successes, College Principal Liz Elam commented; ‘I’m incredibly proud of the hard work of our GCSE students in such difficult and strange circumstance this year. These exceptional results are truly well-deserved, and we look forward to welcoming many of you back in September for your A-Level studies after a well earned summer rest.’
