The college launched the “Life in Manchester” competition, in which students were encouraged to enter their finest photography work through Facebook, to illustrate the artistic talents of its students and to celebrate the culture of Manchester.
Abbey College Manchester Art and Photography students ended the year on a high, with their annual Art & Photography Show.
For students interested in joining the college this September for A-Levels, we are running a Sixth Form Taster Morning on Thursday 28th June from 10.00am to 12.00 noon.
Talented students from the college took to the stage recently to dazzle the audience with a unique display of eclectic talents in the college’s annual charity Fashion/Talent Show in aid of Francis House Children’s Hospice. It was a fantastic evening’s entertainment.
The annual field trip to Blencathra near Keswick took place for A-Level Environmental Studies and Geography students over the February half-term. This is an important part of the curriculum for both subjects.

The college recently hosted a model General Assembly on water security with countries represented by participant schools. The event was a huge success.
Art and Photography students recently visited Bretton Hall near Wakefield to photograph and sketch the works of art and sculptures on display.
The launch of the Engineering Education Scheme took place recently at the University of Liverpool. Four of our AS Level students are working on the six month project with engineers from Sellafield Limited.
